Data Conversion
No need to worry when converting from your current claims processing system.
Valley Oak Systems has extensive experience in converting claim information
from a variety of software systems used in the industry. We map
all relevant data from your current system to the matching
fields in our system. We then run a trial conversion against your data
and provide you with feedback about any problems encountered.
Ultimately, you don't "go live" until you are satisfied
with the conversion.
The data conversion will convert the claim, payment, and reserve
transactions from your existing claim system format to the iVOS
database format. Vendor information, if provided by the existing claim
system, is used to create vendor files.
The next process, data validation checking, ensures the totals for
the converted transactions match the loss runs and individual
claim totals on the existing system. If the existing database
does not contain all the necessary payment or reserve transactions,
a single balancing entry is created for each reserve category.
Upon request, Valley Oak will clean up the data provided during
conversion. When you are satisfied that the conversion information
is complete and accurate, Valley Oak will schedule the procedure
to input the data into iVOS. A report will be provided showing
the payment and reserve totals for your current system and iVOS
when your conversion is complete.
