Valley Oak Systems Appoints Director of Product Management
New Hire Marks Company's Commitment to Deliver Solutions to Insurer Marketplace

San Ramon, CA - September 7, 2006 - Valley Oak Systems Inc., a national
provider of claims management software, services and support, today announced the appointment of
Lorna Martin as its new Director of Product Management. Martin is a veteran to the insurance
technology industry, with over 25 years of product design, development, and delivery for the
carrier market. Martin's key responsibilities will be to enhance Valley Oak's comprehensive
"one-system" claims solution to incorporate policy underwriting, as well as other product
enhancements.
Prior to joining Valley Oak Systems, Martin served as the COO for an insurance consulting firm,
where she maintained and enhanced underwriting systems for a major California workers'
compensation carrier. Previous to this position, Martin worked for Allianz Insurance Company,
where she was promoted into positions of increasing responsibility and leadership. In her last
position at Allianz, Martin served as senior vice president and CIO, responsible for the
development of automated premium booking, policy issuance, global underwriting, and global
claims reporting systems.
