Valley Oak Systems' VOS Portal Selected By California
State University Risk Management Authority as Their New Claims
Administration Software
Alamo, CA - April 11, 2002 - Valley Oak Systems, Inc., a provider
of claims administration software, services, and support, has
completed implementation of VOS Portal with California State University
Risk Management Authority (CSURMA). Employing the application
service provider (ASP) model, the software and database will be
hosted at Valley Oak Systems allowing CSURMA to have Internet
access and portability, important factors to meet their business
requirements.
Affirming the proven track record of Valley Oak Systems with
public entities, Charlene Minnick, Director, Systemwide Risk Management
of CSURMA said, "after researching competing products and
reviewing the demonstration, the functionality and system flexibility
of VOS Portal met CSURMA's complex needs". Full functionality
of VOS Portal is maintained with the ASP model and eliminates
the need for internal support for a database server and a physical
database.
