Aon Unit Valley Oak Systems Appoints Vice
President of Managed Care
Company to leverage executive’s expertise to expand iVOS® Review Software
and Service and offer additional managed care programs
 SAN RAMON, Feb 27, 2008 – Valley Oak Systems, Inc., a unit of Aon Corporation (NYSE: AOC) and a leading provider of insurance technology solutions, today announced that Jacqueline Payne has joined as vice president of managed care. Payne’s managed care expertise will enable a strategic expansion of iVOS Review Software and Service, Valley Oak’s market-leading medical bill review software and expert outsourced bill review service. Payne will also spearhead market expansion of iVOS Case Management and develop additional managed care programs.
Payne brings 20 years of expertise in workers’ compensation managed care services, including medical bill review, utilization review, and case management. Most recently, Payne worked as vice president of operations at TRISTAR Insurance Group. In this position, she directed TRISTAR Managed Care, the company’s medical cost containment division. She also worked in various positions at Corvel Corporation, HealthNet, and Nationwide Insurance.
Workers’ compensation medical costs continue to rise, and for employers, controlling healthcare costs is an ongoing process. Toward this objective, Valley Oak Systems offers the following medical management software and services:
- iVOS Review Service provides outsourced bill review service and expertise to review and re-price medical bills. The service can save clients from 45 percent to over 60 percent on initially billed medical costs.
- iVOS Review Software is a browser-based national bill review software solution that includes document-imaging, advanced workflow management, and automation tools to enable clients to optimize savings and productivity for in-house bill review departments.
- iVOS Case Management assists nurse case managers in coordinating cases, tracking treatment requests, directing injured employees to the most appropriate, cost-effective care, and facilitating a quick and safe return to work.
