Experienced Data Conversion Specialists required for a fast growing, high-energy application
software development company in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Data Conversion Specialist
position is responsible for
- converting data received in varying formats into relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server and Sybase,
- reconciling and balancing financials for old data against newly converted data.
- Writing code to map data from old source code to new source code.
This position requires:
- strong attention to detail and an extensive knowledge of databases,
and the ability to interact with clients to resolve data conversion issues in a win-win manner.
- ability to tactfully direct clients on how to map old data codes to new data codes.
- ability to write scripts/code and be well versed in SQL and Oracle.
- ability to program in Visual Basic
- ability to work with our project managers/installation team. The successful candidate must be a
self-starter and present a professional bearing and possess excellent verbal communication
skills. Strong attention to detail as well as strong analytical skills a must. A college degree
or equivalent experience required.
